Submissions Agreement

Effective Date: 01/01/2025

By submitting content to Excelling While Black (“we,” “us,” or “our”), including business listings, professional profiles, highlight nominations, or personal recommendations (collectively “Submissions”), you agree to the terms outlined in this Submissions Agreement.

Who Can Submit

Submissions may be made by:
  • Business owners or service providers submitting their own listings or profiles
  • Individuals submitting someone else to be featured or recommended
  • Consumers recommending a business, practice, professional, or community leader

Content You Can Submit

Submissions may include:
  • Business or service name, description, contact details, and location
  • Photos, logos, or publicly available media
  • Biographical information for highlights or features
  • Testimonials, endorsements, or community praise

Permissions and Use of Content

By submitting content, you confirm that:
  • You have the right and permission to submit the content, whether it belongs to you or someone else
  • The content is accurate to the best of your knowledge
  • The content is not defamatory, harmful, or infringing on any third-party rights
You grant Excelling While Black a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual, and irrevocable right to use, reproduce, edit, publish, distribute, and publicly display your submission in any format, including but not limited to website listings, articles, marketing, and promotional materials.

Editorial Discretion

We reserve the sole right to:
  • Edit, modify, or format submissions for clarity, tone, or presentation
  • Accept or reject any submission, with or without notice or explanation
  • Remove any submission at any time, including content that is publicly available elsewhere
Submission does not guarantee publication or promotion on our platform.

Public Visibility

Content submitted to Excelling While Black may be displayed publicly on the website or associated platforms. If you are submitting on behalf of someone else, you must ensure they consent to this public visibility or that the information submitted is already publicly accessible.

Corrections and Requests

If a submission contains incorrect or outdated information, or if the subject of a submission requests removal, we will review and respond accordingly. Contact support@excellingwhileblack.com with any correction or takedown requests.
