By accessing or using the Excelling While Black website (the “Site”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Site.

1. Site Purpose

Excelling While Black is a digital platform dedicated to highlighting and promoting Black-Owned businesses, professionals, and stories of Black excellence. It serves as a directory, storytelling space, and resource hub.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use this Site. If you are under 18, you may use the Site only with the involvement and permission of a parent or guardian.

3. Submitting Content

You may have the opportunity to submit business listings, nominations, reviews, testimonials, highlight stories, and related content (“User Content”). By submitting content:
  • You grant Excelling While Black a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, and fully sublicensable right to use, publish, reproduce, modify, adapt, translate, distribute, and display such content in any media.
  • You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary licenses, rights, and permissions to submit the content and to grant the rights described above.
  • You agree not to post or transmit content that is false, defamatory, hateful, discriminatory, obscene, or infringes on any intellectual property rights.
  • We reserve the right (but are not obligated) to remove or edit any submitted content at our discretion.

4. Use of the Site

You agree to use the Site for lawful purposes only. You may not:
  • Attempt to disrupt or interfere with the Site’s operation or security
  • Use any automated system to access or collect data from the Site
  • Copy, reproduce, or redistribute any content without permission

5. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site, including logos, graphics, text, and curated listings, is the property of Excelling While Black or its licensors and is protected by U.S. copyright and trademark laws. You may not use our branding without written consent.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties
