David Kwabena Wilson is the 10th inaugurated president of Morgan State University, Maryland's public urban research university and its largest HBCU, a post he has held since 2010. Raised in a sharecropping family in McKinley, Alabama, he earned bachelor's and master's degrees at Tuskegee University and a master's and doctorate in education at Harvard. Before Morgan State he was chancellor of the University of Wisconsin Colleges and University of Wisconsin-Extension and vice president for university outreach and associate provost at Auburn University. During his presidency Morgan State has raised more than $1 billion for campus construction and completed its largest fundraising campaign.
