Carla Harris is a Senior Client Advisor and Managing Director at Morgan Stanley, where she has worked since 1987. She served as Vice Chairman of Wealth Management from 2013 to 2021 and previously led the firm's Emerging Manager Platform, equity capital markets for the consumer and retail sectors, and Equity Private Placements. As a senior member of the equity syndicate desk she executed initial public offerings for UPS, Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia and Ariba, and a $3.2 billion common stock transaction for Immunex. She is one of the few Black women to reach the top ranks of Wall Street and was appointed by President Barack Obama in 2013 to chair the National Women's Business Council.
