Marc H. Morial has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of the National Urban League since May 2003, leading the century-old civil rights and urban advocacy organization. Before that he was Mayor of New Orleans from 1994 to 2002, leaving office with a 70 percent approval rating, and served as President of the U.S. Conference of Mayors. Trained as a lawyer, he has also worked as an entrepreneur, professor and state legislator.
